This is a pointless exercise.

They will pretend to play nice for a few months than go back to their posturing and sabre rattling and the entire process will begin again.

All we are doing is enabling their regime to continue brutalizing their people (at our expense).

NK has no intentions of actually following through on any agreement they make.

You know, this is the biggest issue I have with giving food to North Korea. How do we know that it's going to help the people who are starving, and not just go right towards the military and the political elite? It's not like they're going to let the UN/Red Cross go in there to distribute the food themselves.

I'm all for helping out people who can't help themselves, but not if their leadership is monopolizing all of the stuff for themselves and their buddies.

EDIT: And the other sad part is, the North Korean government is going to outright tell they're people "It's the US's fault why you're starving and suffering! Blame the US, not our inept leadership skills!" And because they have no CNN/MSNBC/Foxnews, the people are going to believe it...
