He was partisan, but I don't think he ever outright lied. Those Weiner pics were not photoshopped.
OTOH, if it had been a Republican congressman, he would have never run with it.

Sort of.
He tried to claim it wasn't edited. Since he posted it on his website, he couldn't really deny it was him.
He might have backtracked when the fit hit the shan though and said something about reposting it.
Interestingly enough, she was about to sue the pants off of him. A judge recently cleared the way for a libel\slander civil case.
