satan is a christian creation
without christianity there is no satan.
you can not be a satanist without acknowledging christianity and christ.
you may worship devils or evil spirits but not satan, unless you accept jesus christ as the savior.
this line of thinking got me in big trouble with middle school teachers back in the mid 80s.
one of those teachers was a christian minister at a local church, and a cop in town.
he had all kinds of fun propaganda to brainwash my parents with.
example: did you know that liking ninjas is also a sign of devil worship?
at least thats what the christian coalition of fraternal police order, or some BS organisation back then, tried to say.

Lol, I love how you all just invent religions.
The public practice of Satanism began with The Church Of Satan, started by Anton Levay in the 60's. They do not believe in the devil or any other supernatural beings.
There was a cult in 1948 called Our Lady of Endor Coven that worshiped Satan, but they were actually Gnostics\Wiccans, they weren't Satanists.
I love how so many people are suckered into believing the boogey man tales made up by Pop Culture and the Church though. Especially Manegarm, who got trolled by religion big time and didn't even know it.
Ps - 99% of the time, what people mistakenly call 'Satanism' are pagan religions (Wicca, Druidism, etc.) that recognize the Horned God. Pagan religions don't believe in the Christian mythos and don't recognize the devil.
Though there are Theistic Satanists that exist, there aren't really any common belief structures between the different cults. And no formal organization to point as a 'religion' - more like a collection of like 12 dudes that all have very different ideas of what Theisitc Satanism is.

Satanism started to reach Eastern Europe in the 1990s, in time with the fall of the Soviet Union, and most noticeably in Poland and Lithuania, Roman Catholic countries.
