Be open to other viewpoints and points of view and be willing to discuss thing and ponder those ideas and not hold to your beliefs and be totally unwilling to bend. Your mind must be open to the possibility you might be wrong and your thinking needs to be adjusted.

I find that both extremes share Fist's viewpoint; that only by standing in or near the middle can you get a truly broader perspective on things.
Note that this doesn't imply that extreme sides can never make relevant points; it just means that they do so far too rarely.
