If they're smart they'll start early in the Succession Wars and save the invasion of the Clans for the inevitable expansion(s).
I really wish they had worked a deal with Harmony Gold to incorporate The Unseen into the game. I want my Marauder damn it!

I would guess that while there might be a planetary map where all the factions are battling over control for planets, the actual combat will just be two sides fighting it out on one of the common border planets.

Yeah that vid wasn't much, but Mech fans like me just get giddy over any animated Mech, especially the ones from the BattleTech universe.

Edit: And according to the FAQ it'll be 3049 in-game at launch, which is the year the Clans invaded.
