Correct. They have been losing money for a long while now. Their own quarterly SEC filing speaks to this. They do not foresee any profitability in the near future. Their share price has been decreasing long before yesterday. That is precisely the point. A small, public company that has a recent history of no profitability and poor profitability outlook for the next 4 quarters or more. The very same company then pulls its sponsorship of THE number one radio slot in the nation. I don't know if they have ever tried to measure how many new customers that sponsorship has yielded over the years, but I would guess that the revenue stream generated from that audience may have been significant at the least. Ultimately, it should not be a mystery as to why the shares took a big index-exceeding dump. Struggling company is trying to expand capital but caps a stretch of continued loss by dumping its primary ad slot. I would have sold my shares if I had any. It seems justified. Some people here think that the selling-off of the shares, and the decrease in value, was a result of investors being upset that Carbonite dissed Rush, etc, etc. People that think this are...well...stupid. Like a couple of the above posters.
