Just so long as you understand that when you worship Jesus, you're really just worshiping Horus, then by all means, enjoy your repackaged Sun Worship.
Apparently you're under the misguided belief that the movie Zeitgeist is factually or even historically correct??
Really?
I don't know what movie you're talking about
Shin mentioned it in another thread:
B_Shinkicker posted:
After watching Zeitgeist, the dates of Christmas and Easter, and the story of the birth of Jesus and the death and resurrection make even more sense to me.
Then he dropped his Horus reference here, which means Shinkicker is an idiot and believes the movie has merit.
Basically, Zeitgeist falls into the category of "Not Even Wrong". To be wrong, you must first get something, anything, right, and the conclusions drawn must have some basis in reality - and Zeitgeist fails this most basic of litmus tests.
The first part about Horus was pretty cool, wasn't that the one that totally flipped out about evil space lizards?
No, Zeitgeist is about how religion, media, and the government controls and manipulates civilization. No space lizards. On the religious side it does a great job showing the evolution of Christianity and it's similarities to previous religions, sometimes directly mirroring them, as well as it's similarity to the zodiac.
The fact that Koneg has a fleeting grip on reality and is railing against this film indicates that you should probably check it out. Zeitgeist goes into detail about the story of the three wise men following a star to the birth of Jesus to the three stars in Orion's belt lining up with that same star pointing to the rising of the sun on December 25th, important Christian dates lining up with solstices, the shift from paganism to Christianity, etc. Good stuff.

So not getting anything right is your definition of a great job?

Oh definitely, no argument... if for no other reason than to have a good laugh.

A) Jesus was born in the spring... the December 25th date was chosen more than 300 years later by the Roman Catholic church.
Oh and the really good stuff, like the fact that the alignment Zeitgeist talks about between Orion's Belt, Sirius, and the Sun is impossible anywhere on the entire frikken planet? Because they're not all in the sky anywhere near sunrise or sunset? That kind of Good Stuff?
Zeitgeist gets nothing right.
So, like I said... Not Even Wrong.

Interesting...
So the claim (approximately 20 minutes into the video about this alignment is) - in your words is unpossible...
Why do you claim it's unpossible? Why do you say it's unpossible anywhere on the planet?
Sirius - the star of the east is always visible above the horizon after sunset during the winter solstice.
Orion's belt - 'The three kings' - always aligns with Sirius...
What you are saying is unpossible - in fact happens every freaking year...
Why are you saying it's unpossible?

No, it doesn't.
