Same. Once I realized it wasn't what I was looking for I went back to server boards.
Until they banned political posting on the Ywain boards and told us to come here. I lurked for awhile before I started posting though.

I was a mini-mod on the old "Wizard and Theurgist Elementalist" VN board (now defunct).
At one point in the first several months of my modship (first couple years of the game somewhere) I was told to send OT types to the Outpost. I said, "what Outpost?" I promptly showed up to check it out -- under my non-mod (non-Abaddon) account, of course.
Bonk assaulted me within about 2 posts. I of course assaulted him right back.
I came here to blow off steam for about a year before my attention wandered. I lurked every once in awhile, then for some god-awful reason about 4 years ago I decided to return more regularly as Ab. I must have suffered an aneurysm osementhe.

IIRC I arrived right in the middle of a mod meltdown. It wasn't bre_rawr because I remember him before his meltdown. So I think it musta been...squick? I can't remember the order of the mod meltdowns here any more.

@Afio : You probably remember that for about a year I let that board get totally out of control. I enjoyed having people rant at me. (That's how I got the TL spot if you recall... I was the loudest troll on that VN board and they asked if I would shut up in public if they put me in the TL program lol).
I think I ever edited like 3 posts, 2 of which were clear pr0n obscenity OT posts.
Therrik came along later and started modding. Things then got... far more boring.

I was educating the DAoC boards but my regular board was the AO General board. I spent about 15 minutes in the early DAoC beta, and a few weeks later I was visting the the DOaC folks enlightening them about how much their game sucked. After a long heated discussion where I told all the DAoC morons that AO was a vastly superior game (Bonk was included. He called me a troll!) Sir Peach Cobbler suggested I come here.
That was 70K+ post ago.
