That's for state gubmint, not city gubmint. It doesn't list partisan affiliation for the city council/mayor/managers.

Yeah I tried finding it but I couldn't find anything, which isn't surprising. I doubt many local officials run on political party affiliation.

In 1978, Dem registration was at 56.6%, whereas it is now at 44.6%.
California as a whole is actually less liberal now than it used to be.

California had gone from the best state in the Union to one of the worse. At the same time it moved from Conservative to Liberal. Union greed and willing Democrats completed the decline. Now the state starts to look more like Greece than America. If the other stated don’t understand how this came about they are doomed to follow. That is; if the Federal Government does not collapse first.
http://www.city-journal.org/2012/cjc0306sg.html
When private firms don’t provide good services, consumers have choices. When city governments fail to perform adequately because they have squandered their budgets, residents are left waiting, hoping, and eventually moving. As an elected supervisor in another beleaguered California county once opined: “County government is becoming a pension provider that provides government services on the side.†That’s true practically everywhere in the once Golden State. In Stockton, the results are plain to see.
Considering just how miserable your life is with all these liberals, you should just end it immediately. Bye.

City, county and state workers should just go fock themselves, screw them and their pensions and benefits that they were contractually promised.
Meanwhile the Fists of the world will continue to take advantage of their gubmint benefits like the VA because they "earned it."

We already have some Greece like states...permanently slow economic growth, below average education and dependent on continual handouts from richer neighbors (such as california)....the deep south has been this way for a long time and the fisto's of the world cant seem to grasp it.
Fisto is warning us about how horrible it might be if the rest of the nation were richer and better educated. Thanks for staying on top of things fist.

And republican is at 30% with the reminder being not affiliated with a major party.
According to voter records, as of the last few years it's been voting for more and more democrats. Sorry your statement doesn't hold up.
