Yeah but we all know that O'Reilly is a moron. And many of us know that cheap abundant energy is one of the big factors in having a thriving economy (apparently Bill doesn't know this...). The cascade effects are huge.

And the Obama administration has decided that they’re not paying enough. So the Interior Department’s budget includes a proposal to raise royalties for oil and gas projects by 50 percent.
That means companies will have to pay 18.75 percent in royalties, up from 12.5 percent, to drill on public land.
if it wasnt for oil drilling on public land gas would be $8.00 so what you are saying cuting drilling 40% is the way to lower the price

the only thing that matters is the value of the dollar, which is what oil is priced in. The value of the dollar when priced in commodities is going down and will continue to do so.
actually while this plays a factor.. speculation on middle east turmoil has more to do with this than any other factor.
