Someone made a mistake; give me money.
The fact that everyone's insurance will go up to give these leaches money seems to escape your average liberal; who tomorrow will be screaming about the high cost of medical care.

Uh Puma, someone is going to have to pay the costs of providing for this kid from cradle to grave. I would rather it be the people at fault than the taxpayer or the people who did nothing wrong.
2.9 million projected over a lifetime of 50 years (reasonable these days for people with downs) is not that much money. Comes out to about 60k/year. That's probably more than you realistically need to care for a kid with downs per year but it's not ridiculously high.
