I don't buy Apples stuff, quality and innovative though they might be. They are also overpriced and usually have some stupid limitation built in for no god damn reason at all, such as limited output ports, no expandable memory, can't replace the damn battery, no flash, or some other stupid shit that just pisses me off.
I wait a while and buy a better product that does the same thing without the irritating limitations for half the price from some other company.
Glad Apple is around to push things, but also glad other people buy their overpriced stuff so I don't have to.

If it is android, then I would say yeah
Windows 8 tablets I think will eventually take over the market along with Windows 8 Phones. Seems impossible right now but in a few years Microsoft will become the leading mobile platform again, I think
I don't mind iPads. I just am not a huge fan at all of Apple's business practices and I don't see them as a company that offers anything at all to the development marketplace outside of app development, which is hardly anything you can attribute to Apple itself

Windows 8 on ARM tablets with the new metro UI is going to be amazing
The seamless development between Windows Phone 8, Windows 8 Tablets on ARM or x86 and Windows 8 Computers will bring a new entire tier to application development across all platforms. Transporting a Windows Phone app to Windows 8 is a 2 step process pretty much with how XAML and .NET architecture will work on the platforms

Tablets in business are really set up to replace paper and to some extent the laptop. The key to their success IMO in this arena will depend on their connection to a cloud and their capacity to connect to other things (printers, projectors, other tablets, etc).
I don't see them as being a primary source for doing that much work. I think they are more of a presentation tool and a point of connection to your data.
