1. I thought Beta would begin end of March
2. Not sure Collector's edition goodies are worth it. Guess it depends on price. Edit: $150. Yeah. I"m going with not worth it. Standard edition for me.

Reading the descriptions of these, they are only temporary...save the combat pet (mistfire wolf). I have to think it will not be very powerful. I'm still going with "not worth the money" for the collector's edition.

Well obviously the collector's edition is stupid. There's nothing in the collector's edition that isn't in the digital deluxe unless you like to clutter up your house with video game paraphenalia.
Digital deluxe costs 20 bucks more and gives you all the in-game goodies. My rule of thumb with those things is that if they give you a mount early (like rift did) it's usually worth it, if not it isn't.
edit: The pet elite skill will have to be crap or else they'll be breaking their own "don't be evil" pledge.

lol I think I'll just get the standard edition. That other crap would probably last 3 or 4 weeks until I threw it away

didn't know they had a deluxe edition. I will be getting that one. I don't care about the RL stuff. I just want all the in game goodies
