Nuke is better scare than it is a weapon. As long as you have a nuke, everyone will be scared to do anything to you but if you use the nuke, everyone will be in hurry to annihilate you before you do it again.
MAD is a bitch. China, Europe and USA all have several nukes aimed at Teheran with so much surveilance that by the time first Iranian missle silo would open its hatch, few hundred nukes would already be on their way to Iran.
