I'm installing Icewind dale as we speak.
I'm currently replaying trough final fantasy 7 but I will be switching between both of them

The best part of IWD was that you could make your own party but that meant they were all boring. The story was also far weaker than the BG ones.
It was still fun though. BG2 was the best because you could make your whole party or not.

Did anyone try ToEE? Temple of Elemental Evil? If not I'd recommend it over a BG or IWD replay. It's like 2 bucks online and the game is amazing.

Icewind Dale is infinitely superior to BG simply because it does not have Minsc in it.

Minsc was awesome!
I just downloaded Planescape: Torment but I haven't installed it yet. I've heard nothing but great things! IWD was nicer in that you could make your own party, but yea, the story compared to Baldur's Gate 2 was pretty weak.
