call me coocoo, but i really don't like raping of any kind.
imo, in a movie, it's a cop out to use rape as a medium to illicit emotion from the viewer.
it's too "pro-wrestling" and lacks class.
[EDIT] of course "having class" is something which sinlock is not accustomed.

Films are a "safe" medium in which to explore all aspects of humanity; that includes the most foul and awful. Rape is, of course, awful.
I believe the rape scenes in both adaptations are simultaneously bold and horrible, and I also believe they have a value by shining a light on just how terrible the crime of rape is.
