It was 10 years of revenue and 6 years of expenses in the original 900 billion. Now we are getting through to a window closer to what will be normal and the costs have nearly doubled.
In the original estimations, expenses in years 1-4 was 23 billion. Revenue was 29 billion. So this complaint was always a bit of a misdirection.
The bill also had fairly large spending reductions to Medicare which are not included in the 'expenses' category in this discussion.
