You like to think of yourself as independently-minded. You call it as you see it. You are beholden to nobody. You do note particularly hate Obama -- you simply disagree with him. Your tiresome posts here all pretend to reinforce that same point.

But here's the thing: You are not independent, and never were. You do as you are told. And that is the whole basis of the Republican Party.

If you are like most GOP voters, you told every pollster within earshot before primary season about how you did not like Romney nor the establishment GOP. And yet, almost every state is carried by him by a comfortable margin. Why is this?

What were Romney's numbers in Iowa before and after he spent all that money telling you to vote against the others? How about in Florida, when he did the same? How can you account for this change?

You go where the money tells you to go. If the shadowy moneymen with their super PACs had backed Santorum, you would have voted for him. Had they backed Newt, you would have voted for Newt. Had the shadowmy moneymen backed Paul (ha, never going to happen), you would have told your local FoxNews pollster how much you loved Paul.

Get over yourselves. You do not have minds. You do not have independent spirits. You do as you are told like the little sheeple that you are, and that is that.

Not just trying to troll here. It honestly makes me want to /ragequit how sheep-like the average Republican voter is. You may as well tally up how much money each candidate has before primary season, and give the nomination to the one with the biggest war chest without going through the motions.

Phlegm is right on. Romney was the candidate before any primaries. It was a done deal. Our system is broken. Backroom deals with power brokers who own the politicians are what are important. Our votes dontmeanshit. You have a choice to vote or not vote. If you are Republican you are usually so close minded you cant conceive of a progressive agenda, and so you pull a little to the right instead of the left. The left doesnt get much either. We get some wtf are you doing crap totally inconsistent with what he promised.

I hope you are not seriously trying to suggest that the Democratic base is any different.


We need a constitutional amendment for constituent knowledge testing in order to participate in the electoral process at the booth. Put that in place and I can guarantee that the political landscape will dramatically change.

They are not necessarily sheep, they are voting for who they think has the best chance to win against Obama in combination with Santorum making the mistake of telling people his inner thoughts.

Every Democrat knows that Obama sucks and they're going to vote for him anyways. Obama is the epitome of what OWS is supposedly protesting against and they are all going to vote for him anyways.
