What turned me off was how evil it wanted to make you.... Stumbled into the cannibalism quest -- then there was the one for the mace with the stealth -- It just kept getting darker and darker.

It isn't real chill out.

Nice game world. Bad game.

Pretty much. Although even the game world is kinda lame in parts, i.e. dungeons. So much for the 150 unique, awesome, interesting dungeons they promised. They have 145 dungeons just as boring as the 10 in oblivion and then a few good ones.

Played it for one afternoon and then never felt the urge to start it again.

Honestly from the outside looking in it looks like the same crap they have always produced just with different graphics and a different story..

the 50th time you try and find a merchant with enough coin to buy your stuff

There's a perk in the Speech tree you can get called Investor which allows you to give coin to merchants which makes you a pseudo-partner in their store. You're not really a 'partner' as you don't make any money off them, but it does give them thousands more gold with which to buy the trinkets you pick up and need to sell.

But yeah, I can see where it wouldn't appeal to some, especially those who are used to MMO's. I'm having a blast. It can be repetitive at times but the next game I find that ISN'T repetitive will be the first.

There is also becoming the guild master of the thieves guild. After you become the guild master, there is a vendor across the way from the forge in windhelm that buys everything and starts off with $4k.

I think there's some pretty basic text editing you can do to put more cash on merchants. I'm sure someone's done a mod for it.

I think I read somewhere that Warmaidens has like 4500 at all times when you Invest with them. I'll double check that.
