I've only been to Hong Kong on port visits. I'll probably go to mainland after I retire from the military, I need to maintain my clearance and going to communist countries on leisure is a pain in the ass when they're re-investigating you.

I'm not a Macau kinda guy. But HKG is a ferry ride away.
I'll be spending a lot of weekends in HKG with a bunch of friends.
