A few years ago, an illegal sued a US hospital for negligence because the illegal was returned to his own country where the medical care was substandard. His argument was that he was caught at the hospital after hundreds of thousands of dollars in 'free' care, and presumably was reported by some unidentified hospital staff. I believe this case is still in litigation, I would have to look up the particulars. He wants to be brought back to the US - the relocation to be paid for by the hospital, be given a place to live, be granted immunity, and get all the medical care he needs without any expense to himself. I would be hard pressed to believe he would get any of that, but the sense of entitlement was interesting.

I don't know if it was spoken about on any radio program but I believe the trial phase now is focused on determining the amount due him in compensatory and punitive damages as well as the hospital's liability to pay for the illegal's hospital care in his home country that would be equal to the care he would receive, and had been receiving, in the US.
