Yeah, relic raids in DAoc were pretty awesome when they were well attended by all sides.
I really enjoyed it in EQ when they would stage live events as well, or totally change stuff in the zones due to some ongoing game development. The halloween stuff in the Karanas was awesome.

Killing one of the first Balrons in UO. It had been killing and looting players all day, so the loot it dropped was insane.
