i did my taxes last month. got ca refund in 4 days, fed refund in 2 weeks.

I usually get ours done earlier, but wanted to stretch it out in case we owed. Which, thanks to the house, we don't.

Not really, we can't afford the tax bill tbh.
All I want is to claim 0 (which we both do) and get to the end of the year not owing money. Before the house, we couldn't do that.
We're not rich. We just don't have kids and both work pretty middle class jobs. To be frank, we're also pretty smart about money. If Sch. A could be done away with and didn't impact our bottom line, I'd be fine with it.

I did our taxes an hour ago. And then literally five minute afterward my wife comes running in saying "oops I forgot this W2!"
