Yeah his stuff later in the article about the present isn't that interesting. I liked the historical bits though.
And I was also interested about it preceeding the moral majority stuff. I guess his basic point was the GOP hating on empowered women is just like the GOP hating on empowered minorities - it started off mainly as a calculated effort to appeal to white male voters.
