If your argument is that anything but a pure business transaction between arms length individuals is dishonest meh ok. That seems kinda pessimistic and pointless as far as observations go but have at it I guess.
In terms of people not knowing what they're signing when they get married I agree but I don't think there's much you can do about it. Even when you force people to read contracts they never actually do. If someone doesn't want to read a contract they won't read it no matter how many times you tell them they should.

Not quite arguing this, but almost... and yes I realize I'm pessimistic about it.

Well just because they won't read the contract, doesn't mean that they shouldn't be made aware of it. If they don't read it, then it's their own fault, but at least an honest attempt was made to make them aware.
Family law is a mess generally speaking nowadays and that's what's really dishonest about it. A knowledgeable person of either sex can work it if they happen to have more resources at their disposal, and/or the malice of forethought to do so.

To be clear, I'm not particularly misogynistic about it. I understand that people REALLY do want emotional attachment and pleasures beyond the physical, including children and so forth. But if we are talking about PURELY physical transactions - and PURE financial cost, it's simply cheaper if you don't want emotional attachment, to pay on a per use basis.
