NYC NFL is interesting. This is not a football town at all when the top 5 local teams are 1) yanks 2) yanks 3) yanks 4) linsanity lol whut? 5) yanks. Also, the football stadium is actually in Jersey... Sure, people will dig out the big blue jerseys when the Giants are up against Mr. Gisele to win another super bowl, but overall this is a baseball town the way KC and Denver are football towns, Detroit is a hockey town, and whatever town dae_trist is from is a competitive buttsex town.

But the Jets are such a deeply dysfunctional team to the point that it's impossible not to like them on some level. The teammates snipe at each other on twitter, the leadership can't find their own asses with both hands, they are mostly known for their rivalry with a similar organization in the same locale, and the left hand has pretty much zero idea what the right hand is doing.

In other words, it's the Outpost as an NFL team.

The coming QB controversy is gonna make for some awesome drama, especially with the insane tabloid papers in this town. And to see Tebow pull out another win or two with an assist from Jesus is gonna be a trip!

I think your team made a big mistake. There are two big reasons to bring on a new QB.

1) Fill seats & lock eyeballs: you cannot tell me that the washed-up sloppy seconds from the Colts can do this better than 2011's biggest NFL story.

2) Win games: Maybe, maybe not. But over-the-hill Peyton with his neck can't do 4th-quarter heroics the way #15 or, say, oh, I dunno... John Elway could. And one good hit and he's finished.
