I dunno. Most people go by what you look like. Half black half white people are almost always classified as black in America because if you are even a little bit black in America you are very clearly not white so you are black instead.
I did know this one kid whose mom was carribean with sorta coffee colored skin but who looked totally lily white. Pale white skin, blue eyes. Even though he was "half black" nobody woulda considered him black.
I don't know where zimmerman fits into this whole thing but I don't think it's automatically ridiculous to say one half-black person is black but one half-brown person isn't brown. Depending on the people.

Yuki I agree, and I know that race is a stupidly sensitive subject for the country to discuss rationally.
But this is beyond the zimmerman shooting.
This is a recognized left leaning organization that has put a racially motivated bounty out for the murder of someone.
I understand that the Black Panthers are accepted to be borderline asshats on their best days, but it is unfathomable for Obama to condemn a questionable shooting and then to go mute on the bounty. The left needs to be visibly bothered by it and demand at least an acknowledgement on it as well as action if possible.

The left has been mocking and calling out the NBPP since its inception. About the only thing they would succeed at is a reality TV show. And giving right wingers something to hate on.
