Thats exactly what I think too. I think Zimmerman definitely racially profiled the kid but his intent wasn't to kill him. I feel like the situation just got too intense for Zimmerman and he panicked and shot the kid cause there was a struggle, he didn't just walk up to him and blast him in the chest and walk away.

I agree, but this isnt the wild west either :/ If I remember right didnt they tell the guy to not persue the guy? He may be guilty but I dont think it should be for murder. Maybe manslaughter but not murder. Then again I'm not on the jury and we dont know all the evidence to make the call. Its all speculation unless your presented with all the facts.

Yeah thats what happens with a high profile case the media gets into it and fills it with a bunch of bullsh*t and its hard to tell what really happened.

Technically, they just said "We don't need you to do that." This isn't really a command; even if so, I do not believe he was under a legal obligation to follow such a command.

True. Man tough call. Glad I dont have to be the one to make it. :/ Either way 1 man is still dead and even if the shooter was hung on the spot it wouldnt bring him back. From here on out its a my word against a dead guys, witnesses and whatever videos that occured after the fact. Sounds like a crap shoot either way.

Zimmerman wasn't under a legal obligation to do what the dispatcher said, but, if the charge is something like criminally negligent manslaughter, it could certainly be used as an indication that he was not following common sense procedures and was creating a situation where a bad outcome is more likely than if he had just waited for the cops to show up.

He also said, "Okay," after the dispatcher said what he did. But we also know how that turned out.
