I am not currently a smoker and I have never been a smoker. I would become a half-pack a day smoker for 1 month, thereby subjecting myself to nicotine addiction, for $_______________.

300k probably. but I know I'd be able to quit right after. the only reason I wouldn't do it for less is the stigma associated with being a weak willed smelly disgusting smoker.

I've done this before socially, several on the weekend, back when I was partying. Some laced, some not. Some tobacco, some... not. I also used to smoke cigars a bit when the fad was on. And believe it or not, chewing tobacco (waaaaay back).
A half pack a day? I'd have to work to do that. If you said 3 cigs a day for a month, I'd do it. And I'd demand $5000 just to make it worth my annoyance, the smell, bothering others, etc.
I'm quite certain I am one of the few who can take it or leave it. Same thing with booze.
Don't get me wrong. I have vices that can get the better of me. These two aren't among them.

I have a friend that smokes when he gets drunk. I've never been able to do that. I wish I could. 
This September will be my 8th year as a non-smoker. I hope I stay that way.
