Since the advent of the air bag that is no longer the correct way to hold it. 9 and 3 is good and 8 and 4 is better. If you hold it at 10 and 2 you could have your shoulders dislocated or worse if you're in an accident where the airbag deploys.

I'd think avoiding the accident would still be a safer choice. I find your advice suspect and am guessing I'm right.

I drive one handed almost exclusively. I drive with twohands to make fun of driving with two hands.
Makes sense though. Airbags can be quite the annoyance in auto accidents. Worth your life though. Granted with a seat belt I wonder how much safety is really needed in front of a driver

Hands at 9 and 3 to suffer no injuries when the air bag goes off. Hands at 10 and 2 to prevent air bag from going off.
