Think about it. It is the #1 universally recognized word-of-offense in America today.
People even debate if "the N word" is offensive, based on context or speaker.
NOBODY who's been in America more than a generation debates the c-word.
If you say the c-word, your odds go up exponentially that someone within earshot is gonna jump your shite.
