Outposters make terrible guildies.

It's a weird phenomenon. I've played with lots of Outposters in WoW and Vanguard and they're some of the best gamers I've ever played with (GC, Yuki, Cabby, Fred, Illy, Mo and Bleu Kitty to name a few). But the people here are, I dunno, what's the word I'm looking for? Not 'fickle.' I guess people here just play a ton of games and rarely stick with one game long enough to bother forming a guild around.

I had a dream. It was an incredible dream. When I awoke, I had a huge mess to clean up.

I don't think I've ever gamed with anyone currently posting here. I'm always up for new games though. That said, I am horrible at most games. Think of the worst player you can remember....that was probably me and you just didn't know it.
Despite that fact, I'm fun to have around, as you can be assured that someone will be worse than you if I am.

UO Gamers: Hybrid population sucks.
It's a little bit better on In Por Yelm and is a different ruleset but it's not easy mode skill gains so the ADD crowd doesn't last.

Yeah, so I looked at this. I was bored in five minutes.
I just do not have the attention span for dated games anymore.

Yup. The natural tendencies of Outposters to be rugged individualists makes them bad candidates for group activities like raiding.
I believe Outposters make excellent first person shooters but putting them in a situation where cooperation and teamwork is involved is a recipe for failure. I saw it in Vanguard, I saw it in DDO, and I saw it in Rift.
Good people. Bad teammates.

Well, if end game rift wouldn't blow harder than your mom, a lot of us would have stayed.

We had a solid group going in DDO for a number of weeks iirc. I really enjoyed that. Part of the problem seems to be that we are mostly working folks and live in different time zones, so finding evenings free to group together can be a pita.
