IGN will be moving to a brand spanking new registration system. Im sure this news will not be met with as much enthusiasm as the engineers. But ultimately its a good thing in the long run for us all. It will really streamline the IGN experience. And this next statement might ease the pain a bit, with the new system we will have the ability to change usernames. shock

Okay, all login pages around IGN now point to the same location http://my.ign.com/login

If you have logged in there before, you should be good to go. If you've never logged in via that page, you should be presented with a choice of username to associate with your account (email).

The cutoff date when we make the final switch is October 15, 2011. If you have not logged in via the My IGN login page by then, the system will pick your default username associated with your account. So go login and get that sorted out right away! You wont want to miss it.

Lastly, this only affects users with multiple profiles associated to their account. This will also not affect any new user registration.

If any new info comes, Ill be sure to let everyone know.

If you are having trouble with your account still or during/after going through the steps, you'll need to contact Customer Service via the IGN Support site. But feel free to ask any question here and Ill do my best to answer it.

Will this cause anything to happen to our post counts?? My post count on the IGN side is different than the one I have here in the vn boards.


I guess these forums wont be going anywhere but man they are like the best thing AC ever gave me. In the end I couldnt play AC without coming to the forums between buffs/loot melting. Then when I was permabanned from other gaming websites(console gaming) I chose to come back to IGN and give it a try since the vault was so killer. It is nice to have so much history with something.

hi!

So what on earth happens to someone like me who hasn't logged into their account in years? I couldn't even remember my login name, board name, or email address I used lol..

However, I opted for a password reclaim with my current email address and low and behold was given this username. Which, oddly enough is not tied to the board name i used for 4k+ posts!

Do I have any hopes of salvaging my old board account? I've located the username and ID# for it... just can't figure out how to login under it.

What was your original board name?

Hi,

My original board name was -Spooged-

While I don't have access to the original email tied to that board name I do believe I was at some point a paid subscriber to IGN and was hoping therefore I could perhaps verify some account details.

Anyhow, thanks for any help you can provide
