In order to be "creepy" to me, you've got to combine being a credible threat to my personal safety with general weirdness and a lack of empathy. Even weird women are generally capable of empathy, and what few I've met who weren't ... well, I'd have given myself better than even odds of taking them in a fight, so they failed on the "credible threat to personal safety" parameter.
Women don't come straight at you. They will burn down your house (Lisa Lopes), or mutilate you while you sleep (Lorena Bobbit), or just go off the deep end and kill family and lovers because they are unhinged (Mary Anne Holder) (link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/21/mary-ann-holder-shoots-ch_n_1106485.html).
Plenty of dangerous women...but no they don't came at you like a guy in a fist fight.
As far as twilight moms? Desperate and sad but not really in the creepy category.

As an adult heterosexual female, what unhinged women do to their romantic partners or children is unlikely to pose a threat to my direct personal safety, pretty much by definition. Now it might affect me indirectly -- like if my brother was attacked by his fiance, or if I somehow got caught in the blast radius of the conflict (she slashes the tires of the wrong car, starts a fire in her own house that somehow spreads to other houses, etc.) but not directly.
And frankly, if you actually pay attention, it's a cold day in hell that you can't see some sort of trouble coming. What woman goes from happy and at least mostly healthy to drowning her children or cutting part of her husband's dick off out of the blue ten minutes later? And really, what man goes from being happy and well-adjusted to killing his family or indiscriminately gunning down anyone within line of sight ten minutes later?
I'm of two minds on the whole thing. On the one hand, it would be nice if society would intervene with people who are obviously disturbed before tragedy occurred. On the other hand, people's tolerance for what they perceive as any meaningful degree of interpersonal difference ranges from little to none at all in my experience, and and as such you'd get so many false positives in this system that the noise to signal ratio would be badly skewed. You can well imagine the modern-day witch hunts and infringements on civil liberties which would occur as an inevitable by-product.

Unless your husband has an affair with a psycho (see Amy Fisher). Then you might get shot in the head.
But your broader point applies to everyone, male and female alike. Live an honest life, don't screw people over, don't associate with criminals, drug users or obviously unstable individuals. Avoid bad parts of town, don't make yourself a victim. Do that and your chances of encountering a problem individual (male or female) are realtively low.
