A lot of people seem worried I don't know what the merger will entail but it seems as Though there is a lot of concern about the future of vn  T. After speaking with khaz he has expressed willingness to have a badass website designed and operated by DTers for DTers. Khaz doesn't know what it takes but he's willing to spend 1-2k on design and whatever operations and bandwidth costs if it's under 500/month. He has been perma banned in game on multiple accounts and on vn and will not be phased out of AC by "all the loser fa&@$&@ virgin nerds" of DT/VN. Several of the most quality DTers would be mods and no $&@@&$& aloud most notably Simon fretter among a few others who ruined VNDT in the last few years. Pretty much anything would go short of CP and any illegal content like that.
Thoughts on this?
Thinking of hiring the elite master genius kewt do the site, good to keep that money in the DT family.

Oh also khaz won't be a mod, only the appointed mods will have administrative power. The only stipulation is an IP ban on any form of Simon fretter. Would also like to keep rejected only to the trade boards but I'm willing to slide he may be a meth head sister banging welfare trailer trash loser but he's better than Simon.Good potential here I think.As far as mods go, to keep it fair and neutral, rayne, a upper level PB, kewt if he's interested and does the site he will have admin powers anyway. Maybe 1 or 2 other respected DTers.

well thank you for the compliment but no I am far from a master at html... I am a novice... I know literally 4 html tags thats it haha... building a site like VN would take some awareness of PHP, SQL, and probably CSS too... I mean depending how closely you wanted it to match VN that is...
I've heard there are "out of the box" web forums that you simply have to unwrap/unzip and poof they are done in under an hour... but if you wanted to closely match the layout and color scheme of VN that would not be a poof done type deal... it'd be many hours of work I think... my friend robby might be able to help if you go with the more complicated option... since he does know alot about that stuff... but I'm not sure what his available time is like yet... still waiting to hear back from him
and ya I think maintenance and bandwidth costs will be low... I'm pretty sure the main expenses are in the initial design... and there's only design costs if you don't go with one of the instant microwavable sites hehe

1) Excellent fucking suggestion. I'll add this to the official poll I make tonight. Sorry for the delay I just want to make sure we have all of the major options there.
2) Simon Fretter should be allowed there. He won't have any power, period. If he chooses to post there, that's fine. More personalities the better. Plus, who doesn't like shitting all over Simon? It's half the reason I come to these boards. He'll be neutered and won't have anyone to cry to. I welcome him then.
3) Let's not ban anyone, at all, unless they're so disruptive it hurts the boards. Banning is just bad. It's the reason VN went downhill in the first place.

This sounds like a great idea. I'd love to see Khaz waste thousands on a board that no one will use. Obviously the new boards will be the IGN boards. Do you think somoene who comes back to AC after 5 years is going to find your boards? No. They will go to ACvault, click on Darktide and end up at the IGN boards. In this way, any initiative anyone starts is doomed to fail. You'll end up like Hagrin or Madoshi.
Furthermore, I will be keeping an account over there to report infractions. You will not be able to use any bigot words over there at all, I promise you that. It's going to be a beautiful new day in Simonville.
