Mashable purge is obviously a ridiculous request that Mythic is never going to do. They might as well just remove all CC at that point. Instead they should just reduce the reuse timer for all levels of Purge to, say, 5 min / 3 min / 1:30 min, make melee CC reduced by melee resists, and double the immunity timer for castable CC to 2 minutes.

Purge 3 at 3 min maybe but 1min 30s is way too short, especially if they keep the 1 min immunity timer.

I personally would rather have them deal with durations than having them screw up the whole CC system.


Edit: Or they just leave it as is, I have no problems with it.

45 seconds on slam immunity vs 5 mins on purge 3 has always pissed me off.

When you purge the first scout slam they go into engage mode and just wait the 45 seconds for the Iwin button to go up again. If things start to get a little tight just toss in a zeph to buy a little time.

Why is slam immunity only 45 seconds anyway? and not 1 min like the others?

My personal opinion is that purge 3 should be the same length as slam immunity..both 1 min.

Enough with the shield BS, it's hard enough to get past the layered defenses without having to stand there helpless and get wailed on with a 2h for 9 seconds out of every 45.

CC being more powerful than anti-CC abilities is what makes this game DAOC and not WAR. I for one certainly don't want to see daoc becoming WAR, after having played the later for quite some time.
Yes it is frustrating at times, yes i've had my fair share of CC spelling death for me or my group mates, but no i wouldn't want to see a messy fast-paced combat system make its way on DAOC.

Regarding 45s immunity for slams, they changed the way melee stuns worked some time ago so that we wouldn't consider not applying low duration stuns to give a 1mn immunity, which the game had aplenty before the style revision. It actually allows for more combat depth which i'm fine with, though i do agree that slam is probably one of the most powerful abilities in the game.

Would be cool if purge was on a short pulse like cure poison 2 or w/e. Then again someone would complain about that. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
