Cross realm play is a reality because people created characters in all 3 realms on many different servers. You can't ask them to play only 1 of these realms because they have invested alot of time into all of their characters...
I agree that "Realm Jumpers" are a reality and we all have to deal with it. I also believe some sort of realm pride should be encouraged. Players who doggedly stick to playing one realm for long periods of time should be rewarded: namely, a scaling XP, BP, RP, MXP bonus.

We had some servers without crossrealming and bots a few years back. They're now among the options you can choose from to transfer to Ywain.

I feel your pain, speaking as a player who wanted to RvR as an Aug Shammy. On the other hand, let us have a moment of silence for all the MMOs that did things so badly that they are only memories...
Yeah I mean since no one ever uses shears I guess real aug shammy's are useless in groups...

Actually there was tons of crossrealming. Most of the Gareth players, begged to not have Ector and Lamo merged. Nor at the time did Gareth need to have them added. It was never the same after that.
There were more bots than you might think too. Butt-bots, tower bots and pve bots.

i think he means bots /stuck to you in pvp.
i recall there was an SM with a shaman and healer bot /stuck to him out in NF. then he would root you, shear you, mez you, disband the bots, wait like 10 secs, then kill you.
i believe he was one of the first lone enforcers~ cant remember his name to save my life though
this was on devon i believe ? maybe gmbit or was that before lone enforcer title ?
