I know this is a crazy idea. But, wouldn't it be great if games like this that are sort of in old mode let the dedicated players help with some of the work. Sort of like an "open" source game. I bet we have people right on this board that could get the Herald working like a champ in hours.
No kidding!
Sign me up for converting old quests to the new quest system with waypoints. I had to do the "Worn Tradeskill Tools (Hib)" quest today and I can say with all confidence that that quest, without waypoints, is eyesocket clawing, mind melting, wrist slashing bad, bad, bad.

Priceless, priceless, words from a LotRO quest giver: "I've marked your map were you can find the wolves." Compare to, say, Catacombs quests: "Travel south until the first intersection, then go down the stairs to the east, then go south again, then hop twice, then go east while doing the funky chicken."
being a fan of RPG games, both video and PnP style..
i prefer mythics cryptic quest information system over waypoints..
i want to adventure, experience, and learn as i do quests..
not just look at the map and head straight to the waypoint without any thought required...
games being all easy mode is stupid... RPG's are supose to be a story driven adventure where the player figures things out on there own, not a ride on the rails of a roller coaster.
