And why it it your favorite ? Yes...I'm looking for some class/character ideas.

Cave shaman was my favorite back when they were viable (pre TOA and NF). You could crit on their DOT from some RA you could buy cheap, and it was before they had group cure disease so you could do a lot of damage and cripple whole groups. It was really powerful in all kinds of fight situations, but it was counterable so I don't think it was really OP. You have buffs, heals, end buff for kiting, and chain armor so you had a lot better survivability over other DOT classes. They were really versatile and fun, but sadly shamans are only used for their buffs and endurance now so when others find out you're cave spec they want you to get away.

Heretics are one of my fav. classes, or so I think they are, but I don't play Alb really, so my experience only comes from sub50 BG heretics or on Pendragon. But they don't really fit into 8man's that well. Its just fun to have potential for massive magic damage, good armor, good heals, good weapon damage, shield slam, self buffs, though not all at the same time. There's lots of different spec options, not bad for solo or small man's, though not really needed in 8 mans. Maybe I'd get bored of it, but if I played again i'd probably play Alb and find one class that will get used in 8 mans, and on the side make a Heretic for something fun for the rest of the time.

Savage is my favorite all around class. The best melee DPS hands down, solo or grouping they are the best imo. Now they get charge and i feel sorry for whoever is in their path.


Necromancers are my favorite for PVE, ive never really pvp'd with one because its to easy and all the necro's now days probably didnt get their rp's the legit way. But ive always been good at them, either pwerleveling toons or trying out all sorts of epic mobs.

I have every class in the game, many are decent realm rank. I’ll break it down by realm for you.

Midgard – Bonedancer for caster. I went Darkness spec, and I absolutely love it. My favorite caster in the game and a lot of fun. Not only is it fun, but it has great utility and I never really have a problem getting groups.

For a Midgard Tank – I love my Thane. Sadly, I don’t get grouped a lot on that (because people want me on savage, or zerk), but for FUN factor – I absolutely love my Thane!


Hibernia – Vampiir. I find it an awesome fun class, in fact I have 3 of them. (darn clustering). Fun to solo, fun to group with, and each spec offers different things to do.

For Hib Caster – I like my Bainshee (SG Spec). It’s fun, but I get targeted first due to be standing out and often go down as fast as Lindsey Lohan on a line of cocaine. However, if I’m left standing.. boom boom boom.


Albion – Heretic. As a caster, or a tank. Both spec’s change this to either or. I prefer caster tic more than tank, but this class is so much fun to play. It has great utility and can be a ‘jack of all trades’ if need be.

Gonna give a shout out to the person that said Necro. A very very fun class to play, especially in Laby lol. Very fast to solo level too if you go deathsight.

I haven't played a Minstrel since OF but they are definitely still fun.

Skald is great since you get good melee dmg but also utility with mez/snare/ML's, etc.


As for casters, Cabalist and SM's are probably my favorite. Both have great utility, pets, LT's, etc. Probably choose Cab over SM for the NS.


FYI, I like small man so utility can be a bi important there...

Very easily and by far it is the Elderitch.

What a great all around class with so very many tools. So many that RA's, ML's, and CL's are just icing on a very thick cake,

Give the class speed and wow, it would be so much fun soloig on an eld.

Vamp is my favorite melee character to play, as an added bonus you only need 1 account to play it as well.


Warlock is my favorite caster to play before the nerfs, even though there is alot of things about the class i would change design wise. Now-days Sorcs or Fire wizards are alot of fun.
