Not true, before it was a 100% NS, with the patch it was changed to a Silence.
Silence should be purgeable, just saying.

it's easy to cure silence. besides if you slam and try to pop silence you gotta wait like 2 seconds, that's enough time to purge

It's pretty brutal when barding to east a silence as there is no backup CC for the duration. Then of course you usually get zephyred or slammed coming out it. Or better yet, silenced twice in a fight!
