Whats up with Mordred server characters? Can we get our chars off yet? Is this even being talked about internally? Is it being resolved as we speak?

I guess all I am asking is do I and a lot of other former Mordred players have something to look forward to?

I don't know if they were ever planning to allow Mordred characters to move to Ywain. A more likely option would have been allowing Mordred characters to transfer to Gaheris, due to the character sheets being formatted the same, and adding a PvP battleground to Gaheris. The proposed battleground addition to Gaheris has been "postponed indefinitely due to lack of resources", aka cancelled.

Edit: Best guess, Mordred (and Gaheris) are SOL. Mythic really only cares about Ywain at this point. Mythic can't even be bothered to fix an encounter on Gaheris that was broken the minute they implemented it.

has to be some resolution to this. It's been almost 4 years now since mordred had a population. I donno, It keeps getting put on the back burner for other stuff. Even if we could only take 1 toon from an account that would be better than nothing I suppose.

Also the thing about the server being different. If that was the case then mordred and non mordred players couldn't activly participate on pendragon server. Yet you can copy a toon from mordred or ywain to pendragon and interact and even RVR against one another on that server. So why not vise versa?

Because they don't give a crap about Pend's overall stability, due to it being the test server. It loads either character sheet without caring. They don't have any sort of automated converter for it. Mordred and Gaheris run the same character sheet on the server end, it's the normal servers that are different. Thus, Mordred is never going to get moved to the normal servers. They might (won't, but still possible) allow people to move/copy their Ywain characters over to Mordred, definitely won't be the other way around. Mordred killed itself, and Mythic is in no hurry to attempt to revive it, because it proved to be a (nearly) unsustainable ruleset. When you have very limited resources, you can't afford risky plays like trying to revive Mordred (which won't happen, even if they attempted to, game's pop is to low to sustain the Mordred playerbase, since it's a niche market in an already small MMO)
