Just wondering if anyone has found a fix yet for this, while playing for abit I get booted and get either game dll error or out of memory,I am running a ATi Saphire 7500Hd card (was sata) but took one out. Comp specs are.
AMD Phenom IIx4 Processor 3.40 Ghz
4.00 gb ram
64 bit OS
ATI RAD 7500hd 1gb Saphire vid card.
Please help if you can, I have updated drivers and direct X many times but nothing seems to work.

SmartHeap error, right?! Known issue with daoc + ATI drivers unfortunately. Doesn't happen with nvidia (well didn't with my previous vidcard which was an nvidia, but those cards tend to fry after a while.. so basically you're screwed either way)

My nvidia 240GT did the same thing for awhile, till I heard someone else having the same problem, and told
them to drop back a few drivers. I uninstalled the driver, and went and grabbed an archived one from nvidia's
website. Installed that, and it helped.. Every now and then, I'll freeze up, or get a game.dll stop error
message.. However, its nothing like it used to be.
So, you also may want to uninstall and move back a few drivers, then, see if it helps you as well.

Never once have I had issues playing DAoC with ATi cards or nVidia, ATI works just fine...
The OP said he is running a 7500HD video card which was SATA? A wild guess here but he actually does have a ATi 7500 GXF card and that is the issue... That card generally comes with 64MB of RAM and AGP or PCI. Since he is using a newer CPU chances are good he also has the PCI version.
Sticksandstonez, how much RAM does the video card have? Most likely a new GFX card is in order and ATi or nVidia WILL work great!!

you have no idea at all of reading comrehension or the hardware you are talking about.. SATA is a hard drive controller, nothing to do with video cards... and the guy posted his exact model (ati rad 7500hd), memory size(1gig), and brand(Saphire) of the video card in question yet you missed it completely sense you were then asking questions about it..
now go to the tech forum were you will see the re-occuring thread of smartheap, out of memory errors associated with ATI's drivers and DAoC it is a known problem and has been a known problem for many years now, it seems hit and miss on which versions of the drivers work and dont work, some people will work with older ones, some newer.. its all trial and error on the users end for finding a good set of drivers that work properly with there card and daoc.

Never had this issue but as for the ATI (AMD now) cards, they have been great to me!!
I have 4 i7(LGA1366) systems with 4890 to 5870's and 6 - 12gb RAM each and can run 8 accounts each all day on them with out any issues...

Please show me a ATI Radeon 7500HD with 1GB of RAM... Using system memory doesn't count. 7xxx series are very OLD.

You obviously do not know what you are talking about... Did you confuse the 7xxx series as high end due to the current model numbers?
A simple Google search has Wikipedia showing the 7500 as a 2001 model...

Ok I made and error when putting in the video card sry, it is a Sapphire 1 Gb Radeon HD 5770, sry about that.
