The main reason I don't play on Mordred is because it's empty. Spend all that time leveling and getting geared to play with 10 other people?

Yeah but if somehow like a bunch of people organized it, or like mythic said go to the pvp server, and like 500-1000 people rolled /level 45s it would be fun again. I used to love that server wish it wasn't dead. But anyways do you guys know why some of my 50s there are 48 now? Maybe catacombs levels messed up my 50s or something? 3 of my 50s on mordred are 48 now.

Yeah, /40 on Mordred and get face raped by RR11 PvE spawn campers...

Seriously, open-PvP games usually devolve into ganking and griefing noobs and having fun at other players expense.

There is a reason people don't roll there or left the server.

Somewhere "south" of $100million to develop, and now subscriptions are somewhere south of 100k, gotta love the irony.

The idea behind Mordred sounds like fun. I've tried several times to roll there even once with the Mordred TL at the time and a bunch of others. But during leveling I would get rolled over and over again while trying to XP. I had a stealther thinking I would be able to get around without getting ganked and it helped but still frustrating.

If I had a high RR toon there I'm sure I'd enjoy it much more.

Surely had nothing to do with the porting mid fight when you are losing, or the constant bind stone camping, or the 13 year old child mentality? Surely none of that.. it was cause people were just bad at the game and couldn't compete with the exploiters. Gotcha.

You guys left out a vital reason of why many people don't want to play on Mordred:

People don't want to deal with the jerks/listen to all the trash talk, or deal with griefers.

Because who does want to deal with that?

grow a pair.
everyone who was successful on mordred dealt with it and overcame it.

it was the funnest server / ruleset in this game and anyone who disagrees with that never gave it a fair chance, and I dont consider a fair chance quitting because you got ganked or trash talked. it happened to all of us that played when we started. get over it. millions of zones to level in, i started mordred right after it came out, it isnt hard to go somewhere and level where you won't get ganked. get up to the point where you can do the "ganking" back and it gets fun. also im amused by the term "gank", it's as if you expect people not to kill you on a free for all server.

edit; that being said, porting in combat was beyond stupid and should of been fixed years ago. while I love(d) mordred, there were indeed plenty of bugs. however, rvr rulesets also have their fair share of faults.

You tell people to grow a pair because they don't want to deal with trash talking and griefers in a video game that they pay a monthly subscription fee for? Makes perfect sense!

yeah. if you get your feelings hurt over someone sending you a tell or killing you, you need to do a little reality check

It had nothing to do with tells alone just the general immaturity about every aspect of communication, it was like playing with a bunch of 14 year olds. It's just something some people(adults) don't want to deal with.

As for 'ganking' it's certainly that when a level 50 constantly kills a level <20. And yes sometimes you could get people to come and kill the ganker but it happened so often I gave up, I don't like combining my PvE with PvP.

If you don't mind then fine, other people pay their $15 a month to enjoy the game the way they want to which obviously was the majority since Morderd has been dead for years.

you're an adult getting pissed off at a videogame by 14 year olds. lol.

i was ganked plenty. as i stated earlier, take a different route. getting up on mordred isn't hard. challenging at most.
if you cant handle dieing in a videogame, especially when you can take opposing routes, theres a problem.

Who said they were 14? That's more of the issue. Yeah I could have turned off chats but that has it's drawbacks.

Kind of hard taking a different route when you can't get out of the starter town that's surrounded by a half dozen invisible archers 30 levels higher than you. And I can certainly handle dying in a video game considering I pretty much soloed the entire time I played but it's one thing to have even a remote chance than having Godzilla's constantly stomping my Bambi. Also, once ToA came in there was no way I was going to bother since there was pretty much zero chance of me getting most of it done solo.
