rift will 100% without a doubt be a failure...its a genetic splicing of WoW and GW....two horrible games...
i don't see most people playing past 1-3 months

Agreed. I don't see the purpose of pvp in rift. Seems like the reason to pvp is to spawn a raid boss for your faction to farm. LOL. Nevertheless, Mythic continues to be a good source of fun!

You might be right ultimately, but I found it pretty fun in beta. I liked the rift feature and hearsay is they are going to put in an open world RvR zone at some point. I wish it had DAOC caster mechanics and didn't have "invisibility" for stealth.

I'm sure an afterthought RVR system added after release will be incredibly awesome.  Hell Mythic couldn't even get WAR right despite all their experience with DAOC. There's no reason to think Trion can just whip up a great RvR system as a patch to Rift especially with it being a 2 faction game.
