First: I don't really like repeatable quests. I want to wander around the big world that the devs have put time and money into building.
Problem: When I do this, my gear turns grey.
Proposed solution: One of two things. Either
A: increase the rate of rog dropping, or
B: increase the things like 'linen worn armor', 'linen barely torn armor' etc. so that there are versions of weak but functional gear all the way up to the 40's.

Also, have those mobs drop weapons too. They could even be non-magical weapons like you'd buy from the store or get from a crafter as single-make pieces. Just some stuff to keep us equipped in gear with an appropriate AF/DPS while we level up exploring our actual realm instead of having to give up on all these fun areas so that we can grind for aurulite.

Second: I realize those tough horses are in Muspelheim because of Melting the Ice. Please just raise the level of the entire zone to a 40+ zone? The horses destroy the zone as a useable hunting zone at its expected level.

Third: SI underwater, please? And I see these underwater dungeon entrances, can those get finished up?

Fourth: Descriptions of zones on the map. Yes I know that the Dark Terrain Of Darkity Dark Darkness is a tough, hardcore, naughty, beefy, tough zone for manly men. But could you please give me some concrete, unmistakable, numeric cues as to whether I need to be a level 30 Chuck Norris Wannabe, a level 40 Chuck Norris Wannabe, a level 50 Chuck Norris Wannabe, or a 50 Chuck Norris Wannabe Grouped With Mister Rogers, Batman, and Hulk Hogan to successfully get XP there? For that matter, you can take the Old Frontier maps out now.. we can't get there.

I don't know about the rest, but for the mpas...get a custom UI that has maps installed (I use Bob's UI).

They list the level requirements under dungeons, zones etc

You can spend an hour farming Aurulite every 10 levels to meet all of your gear-related leveling needs. And it takes you to parts of the DAoC world you wouldn't normally go to. I realize this isn't the solution you're looking for but I thought I'd mention it in case you weren't aware. Also, DF gear works on a similar principle and DF is easily one of my favorite zones in DAoC.

they really should improve drops on leveling mobs or let them drop aurulite so you don't have to do those instances over and over.

I prefer grinding mobs to questing as well.

No questing for me please, thank you.

Aurulite dropping from common mobs? Hmm, me likey the sound of that; perhaps at a slower pace than actual aurulite dungeons, however, just to keep those AWs desirable.

Si drops to be updated to Catacombs drops quality.

I'd prefer not to use aurulite for absolutely everything, myself. "Worn" gear would have a different feel than just having everyone walking around blue.

You can get good gear and xp from doing the Battle Ground quest.

I am well aware of this fact. I do in fact do so.
I also note that I feel like a complete idiot when I later need to go to a major landmark that anyone who actually 'walks the earth' should be passingly familiar with, and proceed to not know where or what it is.
I note also that the BG repeatables aren't actually much fun.
I like BG's, but going out to hunt red-con mobs and occasionally seeing a member of another realm who runs away from me? Not so fun.
Going out and killing 8 of the exact same thing, walking back, then walking out to kill 8 more of the exact same thing? Yawn. It's not like i'm wandering looking for new and exciting resources, it's more like grocery shopping with no way to carry extra bags.
So, yes, thank you for the advice, but what you refer to was in fact what I was complaining about.

You can do your epic quests for level appropriate (bad) jewelry. Those take you all around the classic world. There are also quests at pretty much every town in the game that will give you a nice piece of gear and take you around.

Also, almost every dungeon in the game has decent drops. By the time you level out of any given dungeon you should have a solid amount of gear, and even if you don't you can just run the dungeon bosses until you do.
