Return. Reasons= ToA-items -artifacts lvl more faster, you can get ML1-10 easier. You can get champion levels etc.
I just returned 8 days ago. I play a hunter (stealther class) Im having a blast! Still having some trouble getting solo fights but for each day im relearning. 18 deaths 8 kills on friday and 14 deaths 17 kills saturday.... Seems hard though to have complete 1 on 1 fights usually some one adds for one side or the other..
To be honest im having more fun in daoc again then ive had in wow for over a year or so.. Only waiting for my brother to return too! Then the fun will be double! We will start the Champion quests togheter and im really looking forward to it.

6.2% of the population has a higher IQ than me(if you go by graphs). If you call that a IQ of a carrot then so be it.
There weren't any. I got perfed off a horse by a purple con SB once on a horse. There's yet another example of someone looking for a challenge. The problem with Mordred was always the population regardless of what Mordred players say (who wants to admit they were part of the problem). There was way too much griefing for the lulz for new people to want to stay. Guess what? People who are getting griefed, prolly don't think it's too fun. People who don't think it's fun go do better things. Once new people quit coming in, they started feeding on themselves, griefing each other out of the game. As those mord vets got older and grew up a bit, they left to do better things (read more fun).
Now I'm sure some mord vet pining away from the old days is prolly gonna quote me and say "qq someone died in a pvp zone" to which I will reply in advance "qq someone's server is dead"

Back to the topic at hand:
I came back and I really enjoy it.
However, populations have dropped quite a bit to about 3 thousand during the weekdays. There's "PVP" at Labyrinth which is composed mostly of duels and mids (occasionally albs) running circles around crossroads into tegashirg and discovery's crossing. Some action at the bridges and always some sort of relic takeover happening, which is great.
Battlegrounds are fun too if you want something small scale. Molvik still remains active throughout the day into EU times.
A lot more EU players on as well, so there might be a language barrier. ML10 gear (Astral gear) is the new top shizzles. Value goes: Astral Blade of Illusions (140 plat), Astral Bow of Illusions (120 plat), Conflag (100 plat). These prices vary and change pretty quickly... conflag used to go for 200 plat at one time. As long as you're ML9 and are a form of an archer, a tank, a healer, or a spellcaster with Greater focal Myth. you should be able to find a group in an ML10 raid on any realm (might be challenging for hibs though since they always seem to get ganked by mids and albs).
If you don't use a buffbot there are buffing NPC's at border keeps, darkness falls, and labyrinth. You can do some decent rvr without "real" buffs. The FotM and easiest class to play is Midgard Warlocks if you prefer to run without buffs. You'll see tons in Labyrinth and in keeps.

Yea i know. I got killed over and over trying to leave the safe areas. Very fun, NOT!

TOA still in game, new archery still in place. New frontiers still in place. expansion classes post SI still there. No thanks.
