Hopefully it also can parse/display data from individual enemies/mobs. I would appreciate it very much if your parser was able to do these things. Send me a link so I can DL it, thanks.

It's taking longer to write this program than I expected. It's partly finished now. You can download the current build here:

Mojo

I'm writing it as you requested with separate results for each enemy.

The current build analyzes incoming melee but does not yet analyze outgoing melee or magic attacks.

That's great work, robbie. I'd love to feature it on the Camelot Vault when and if you're comfortable with it

Uh why, have you something we could feature? I only came back to DAoC like 6 weeks ago and I'm still lost on what programs are out there. I only started helping back on the Vault again 3 weeks ago.

So what do you have that we could feature?

Ran a recent log through the new Mojo, i like it a lot : ) Do you have plans to provide a sum total at the top or bottom of the entire log combined?

Ran some more logs on a melee toon, and was wondering if all damage from procs (armor/weapon) get lumped into the "your spells against" bucket? If so, the numbers for a caster could be thrown off. Not sure if you can distinguish between the two in the log.

Yes.

I didn't look at procs yet so I don't know if that's happening. I'll look at that today.

Only a small part of the parser is finished so far.

I just tested and I'm not sure either whether they can be distinguished. Here's a reactive proc going off:

Quote:

[16:39:28] Thrust hits your torso for 107 (-5) damage!
[16:39:28] You hit Thrust for 169 damage!

Here's the same character firing a spell:

Quote:

[16:41:01] You begin casting a Ice Cloud (Minor) spell!
[16:41:03] You hit Thrust for 5 damage!

I can imagine a couple of problems. First, what if the following turns up in a log?

Quote:

[16:41:01] You begin casting a Ice Cloud (Minor) spell!
[16:41:03] Thrust hits your torso for 107 (-5) damage!
[16:41:03] You hit Thrust for 5 damage!

Did you hit Thrust with a proc or the spell? Theoretically, I guess the parser could figure it out by reading ahead in the log for several seconds to see whether there is any other result from the spell. If not, the parser can assume that the "you hit" was a spell. But this would make the parser much more complicated than it is now, and I'm not sure whether the results would be reliable.

Even worse, suppose the spell and proc go off at the same time like this:

Quote:

[16:41:01] You begin casting a Ice Cloud (Minor) spell!
[16:41:03] Thrust hits your torso for 107 (-5) damage!
[16:41:03] You hit Thrust for 169 damage!
[16:41:03] You hit Thrust for 5 damage!

Which hit is the spell and which is the proc?

I would guess that DAOC always displays the proc immediately after "Thrust hits your torso..." so maybe the parser can assume that the first "you hit" is a proc and the second "you hit" is a spell, but it might take a lot of testing to confirm that.

For melee it looks easier to distinguish proc damage from melee damage, the proc damage always appears after the melee damage, and usually follows some sort of statement about the proc "enveloped in searing heat" etc etc. I'll do some more testing to see if proc damage always follows these statements.

[08:26:39] You attack the skeletal high priestess with your sword and hit for 97 damage!
[08:26:39] the skeletal high priestess is enveloped by searing heat!
[08:26:39] You hit the skeletal high priestess for 147 damage!
