It looks like I left behind a 50 scout, a 50 friar, and a 50 skald on my account a long time ago. All of them look like they had their spec and RA wiped since the last time I had played. What would be the best char/spec combination for me to go with to farm myself some ML, artifacts, and plat?

For specs best to check the class boards... as for MLs/artifacts.. since you already have level 50's.. they more than likely have Bounty Points, which you can use to just buy the MLs/artifacts with..

Charplan!
Your best bet when trying to figure out specs on your different toons. If you have any types of buffs you're best off farming with the scout, if you don't have buffs run the friar for mass kills with ease.

You should be looking at getting some glass now.
Use your friar and head to Stygia Delta: and farm some Colossi. Should be able to kill them NP with the friar, I was doing it easily on a partially buffer Paladin... so.

What are glass farming times like? When it first came out and I was farming it the drop rates were abysmal, or maybe I was just doing it wrong. I think I farmed afrit elementals for it but I don't remember.

If you know the loop for the Colossal spawns, rates are incredible. 200 glass per kill, on a friar should be able to kill them in a two-four minutes. Make sure you have a horse, perma-sprint and know the locations. Glass rates are pretty piss-poor on the killing of humanoids... like 10 glass every 2-3 kills maybe. Only some mobs are worth it. If you have 5 members in your group, you can definitely make a ton of glass through the Mesothelasa kill.
