deleting character still holds name?

so, I just deleted a character I had on alb ywain-10 to make a character with the same name on hibernia ywain-8. it's still telling me that name isn't available and to choose another name. is there a timer for making a character with the same name when you delete a character?

Not that I've ever noticed. Last time I found myself doing this, all it took was /delete Y-E-S, log off, log back on, create new toon.

Go back to the slot you deleted the character in and make a new toon in it with another name then delete it switch back and you should be able to get the name then.
You have to "flush" the name out of the data base completely before remaking it on another realm. (Sometimes)

just tried that and no dice.
made and deleted a character on ywain10 in the same slot as the original character. still won't let me make a character on ywain8 hib with the name.

wouldn't it show up on a camelot herald search though? it's kind of an obscure name, kind of doubt anyone took it in the 30 seconds or so it took me to log a different account on...

I have the same problem, and just spoke to an ingame CSR. They can't help, and said I must try the feedback form on the Camelotherald site.
[EDIT] Solved my problem though. I tried again and made a character in the slot where the name was taken, and did NOT delete it. Then the name became available to me.
