We were only expecting about 50 people, but when were at 100+ people with two hours till our scheduled start time we broke up the staff of our website into two groups and made a guild on Hiberian of nearly the same size. An all Firbolg guild too I might add.

99% of the people playing with us have never played Dark Age of Camelot. We are playing on the Uthgard Classic style Server and have limited the classes to Thane/Berserker/Warrior/Healer/Shaman/Skald for Midgard and Vale/Blademaster/Hero/Druid/Bard/Warden for Hib. The first battleground has an awesome level range of 20 to 35 and the server supports both XP off and PvP experiance so when both of our guild hit level 20 were gonna be in for a massive battle of Nostalgia in a game that just hasn't seen this kinda love in years. We have Fraps of the entire night so far and plan on releasing everything in hour long video series to preserve one of the if not best games of all time. If your interesting in see more of what were doing here you can [link to third party server forum removed]

The joy of bringing something I cherished growing up to 150 people who want nothing more then to bash there heads into each other when they reach level 20 is one of the most awesome feelings in the world. That's what I give back to you Dark Age of Camelot (cough minus those subsciption fees on servers I wouldn't touch) for your 10th anniversity, an entire generation of World of Warcraft players finally realizing what a true MMORPG was.

God damn I love this game.

I find it pretty awesome what you have done.
Personally I would have helped them to get the 14 days free trial of Daoc instead of playing on a freeshard. We all profit if Mythic profits from new players, that might lead into some real improvements to the game for example.

Good job tho anyway, maybe they like it and stick to the game on a live server afterwards.

you love this game and "give something back" to it by cheating the company which runs daoc of their money?

sounds so stupid that i'm not sure that you should live if darwin was right.

Today I introduced 150 people to a second rate game copy and ripped EA Mythic off.

Shoulda used the free trial - at least some of them might have liked it and subbed.

Good looks man, you're an innovator in my book, but if you ask me, you should have got them on the free trial for live. If even 1/3 of them liked the game enough to sub we'd have seen a nice influx of new blood to at least thid and Molv.

I to think you should have done the live 14 day trial. But it is still awesome what you have done, I dont think its cheating, mythic has cheated us so who cares. If they enjoy the game enough they will sub anyways if not the game is still what it was yesterday.

If you're going to introduce them to the game introduce them to the real game. Use a 14 day free trail and help support the game you say you love so much.

It's too bad the game/guild stuff is screwed up so badly that this would happen on a shard before it happens on the real game but that link shouldn't be here still mods are a slackin

I would agree with those who suggest you should have come to the real game. The shard is a ghost of the real game.

While those who work on the shard have done a great job with the shard, the shard is tremendously lacking in quests, gear, etc. . . .

I do not like what Mythic has done to the real game . . . . so perhaps it is a toss up.
